Historic Black House

The Searcy Art Gallery is located in the Historic Benjamin Clayton Black House on the corner of East Race and Locust streets. The house was completed in 1874 by Captain Benjamin (CSA) Clayton Black. The two-story pre-Civil War home was expanded in 1972. The Victorian house has a highly decorative veranda and was the 97th Arkansas residence to be placed on the National Register.

The Searcy Art Gallery hosts six major exhibits every year featuring local professional and aspiring artists.
