The Searcy Art Gallery is located in the Historic Benjamin Clayton Black House on the corner of East Race and Locust streets. The house was completed in 1874 by Captain Benjamin (CSA) Clayton Black. The two-story pre-Civil War home was expanded in 1972. The Victorian house has a highly decorative veranda and was the 97th Arkansas residence to be placed on the National Register.
The Searcy Art Gallery hosts six major exhibits every year featuring local professional and aspiring artists.
Current Exhibit
"Faces In Time"
The current exhibit is entitiled "Faces In Time". It is a portraiture show that includes paintings, drawings, lithographs, and other forms of mixed media art created by various local artists. This is a show to see. We have many talented artists in the area and this is your chance to see their work!

October/November: Mid-South Watercolor Exhibit; Fall Juried Exhibit and Searcy Art Gallery's Season Opening Event
December/January: "Lost Arts of Cultural Heritage"; Quilters Guild, Carvings by Terry Williams, Tatting, Crochet, etc.

February/March: White County Youth Art Show; Works of art, in a variety of different mediums, created by the youngest artists that reside in White County.
