Leaf & Limb Pick-Up

Information
The Searcy Sanitation Department is working diligently to insure that all leaf and limb pickups are done in an efficient systematic method within the City.  It has proven to be most effective to simply start on the east side of the City and work to the west.  This process takes between 4 - 6 weeks.  Once complete the leaf and limb trucks return to the east side the city to begin again.  Therefore, if the Leaf or Limb truck was recently in your area it will not return for at least 4 weeks.  Please be patient.

Guidelines
If you wish to have your leaves vacuumed simply rake them to the curbside.  Please do not
rake leaves into the street, storm drains or ditches.  If you choose to bag your leaves please do so and put them at the curb. It is also important not to mix leaves and limbs together for pick up.

Leaves and limbs cannot be picked up by our residential garbage trucks.  Residential garbage is taken to the transfer station and then to the landfill.

Leaves and limbs are taken to the Mulch Center. By the end of November 2009, we have recycled 47,420 yards of leaves and limbs into mulch.  Residents may pick up free mulch Monday thru Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mulch Center located at 1840 North Main Street.

If you need additional information, please contact our
Sanitation / Recycle Center at 279-1000.
