The mission of the White County Aging Program, Inc., is to develop, coordinate and operate a unique and diverse system of services designed to improve and enhance the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual quality of life of senior citizens regardless of race, color, creed, ethnicity, gender, religion, or financial status. Our desire is to assist seniors in living with dignity, in the least restrictive environment and to maximize the time a senior can remain functionally independent and continually productive members of our community. This proactive approach to services reduces medical costs, mental and physical disease and is the most viable alternative to any form of institutionalization. Our services include serving daily hot nutritional lunches in 8 different cities, home delivered meals, light home cleaning, respite care, bus transportation, special needs/wheelchair lift van, activities, comminuty involvement, exercise, literacy, dance, art, games, cultural programs and travel opportinuties.
