Graduation Rate Tops Beebe’s Education Plan

With all the talk of a state lottery to fund college scholarships in Arkansas, Governor Beebe’s focus continues to be on Arkansas’ graduation rates. The Governor’s spokesman, Matt DeCample, says that Governor Beebe is still on the fence when it comes to the lottery proposal, but his main concern remains college graduation rates.

While getting kids to college is certainly a financial issue, DeCample says having college grads ready to enter the work force is a key component in the Governor’s education platform.
