Gustav on the Way Out, Finally

About 70,000 Arkansas residents still without power this morning but that number has almost been cut in half since last night as Entergy Arkansas recalled about 300 linemen and other support workers from Louisiana to attend to matters closer to home.

There is more good news regarding the weather as well; Gustav, for the most part, has moved out of Arkansas and remnants of the storm are now spending some time with our friends up in Missouri. The storm did not move out without leaving its mark; at least 9 inches of rain fell in parts of Hot Springs over the past few days, 7 ½ inches in Jacksonville and over 5 inches in most of Little Rock.
