Tree and Shrub Transplant: Do it Now

Rain today but this weekend’s weather should be decent and now is the time to transplant your trees and shrubs. Sheri Sanders with the White County Extension Service says early fall is the ideal time since trees and shrubs are dormant and the ground is not yet frozen.

If you do transplant, Sanders says be sure to dig up as big a root ball as possible and keep the transplant watered for the first few weeks in it’s new location.
