Bison Baseball Signs Tyler Billen

Harding University baseball coach Dr. Patrick McGaha announced Thursday the signing of Tyler Billen of Edmond, Okla., to an NCAA National Letter of Intent. Billen, currently a senior at Memorial High School in Edmond, will join the Bisons for the 2010 season.

Billen, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound left-handed pitcher, posted a 6-2 record and a 2.72 ERA in 72 innings this summer for his American Legion team. He allowed only 59 hits and struck out 81.

"Tyler is extremely polished for a high school senior and commands both sides of the plate with three pitches," McGaha said. "It was a priority for us to sign him during the early signing period."
