Trial Postponed in Suit Against Reeves
Nov 18, 2008Searcy Alderman Kyle Reeves will have to wait for his day in court, so will the woman suing him Leslie Williams. At issue, whether Ms. Williams was discriminated against after she became pregnant while employed by My Town TV in Searcy.
The Daily Citizen is reporting this week that White Co. Judge Bill Wills postponed the trial date for the case and is retiring at the end of the year. Further rulings will be up to incoming Judge Tom Hughes who takes the bench after the first of the year.
According to The Daily Citizen Williams claims she went from a salaried position at KTWN, to hourly pay and lost insurance coverage after becoming pregnant in 2005. Reeves attorney, Denise Hoggard says her client disputed the claims and denies any wrong doing in the matter.
