President Bush Says Shoot it Down
Feb 19, 2008
A first for the US military and it could happen as early as next week.
President Bush has decided to attempt shooting down a rouge US spy
satellite in space before it re-enters the earth’s atmosphere in early
March. A volatile fuel on board the satellite could cause severe damage
and injury upon impact, so after much debate Gen. James Cartwright, a
member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff says “we’re better off taking the
attempt, than not”.
