The White County Regional Library System announces eBook download access available to its library members.  This growing collection of close to 500 ebooks contains popular titles for adults, teens, and children. Titles are checked out for a maximum of two weeks and can be downloaded via the new library website, www.whitecountylibraries.org anytime, anywhere to most electronic reading devices including the Nook, Kindle, and iPad.  They can be downloaded from the OverDrive link on the homepage and only require that the user have a valid library card number.  Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. No late fees are ever incurred with this service.

The new library website provides links to many other library services such as downloadable audio books, the Bookmyne library catalog app for smartphones, a new book blog, NextReads newsletters for customized book suggestions, remote access to specialized online reference tools for research, and links to the White County library facebook accounts which provide library programming updates.  

The White County Regional Library System’s mission is to “be at all times a dynamic public resource…providing information, materials and services to stimulate ideas, advance knowledge and enhance the quality of life for all members of the public library community.”  The new library website and new online services expand the library’s ability to provide materials and information to its members in a digital or electronic format.
