Drug Take Back

Drug Take Back

Searcy residents are invited to check their households for old and unused medications and take them to Searcy’s Arkansas Drug Take Back location in the parking lot of Hospice Home Care at 2409 W. Beebe-Capps Expressway between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, October 24th. Social distancing guidelines will be implemented and it is preferred that those participating stay in their vehicles.

DeWitt said workers in the parking lot will greet those participating to pick up the medications, so that will allow them to stay in their vehicles. The Searcy Police Department, Hospice Home Care and Stanley Pharmacy Compound are the hosts of this event.

DeWitt said residents can visit ARTakeBack.org to learn more about the event. Organizers say lives and the environment can be saved through this proper disposal method.

The location in Searcy is one of more than 250 take-back locations that will be participating. Those who outside of Searcy can type in their zip code on the website to find out where to drop off their old or unused medicines. They also can download the NARCANSAS app from the website.
