Harding University Homecoming Weekend 2019 is October 17 through 19.
Thursday, October 17
8 a.m.-5 p.m. Welcome Center, Heritage lobby in front of the alumni office
8 a.m.-5 p.m. Linda Byrd Smith Museum of Biblical Archaeology, first floor McInteer Center for Bible and World Missions. More than 100 Bible artifacts on display.
8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Homecoming art show, Stevens Art Galleries
9 and 10 a.m. Chapel, Benson Auditorium
9:45 a.m.-2 p.m. Bison 3K G.L.O.W. (Go Light Our World) Run (formerly Bison Stampede), register online, https://runsignup.com/bisonglowrun or in the Hammon Student Center, $20 for early registration, $25 night of the race.
Visit the First Ladies Garden, outdoor classroom, secret garden and serendipity garden, located behind Pattie Cobb Hall near Shores and Pryor halls.
5 p.m. “Live at Five” broadcast, Reynolds Center TV studio. Alumni are invited to come and sit in during the broadcast.
5 p.m. Lady Bison Soccer vs. East Central, Stevens Soccer Complex
7 p.m. Bison Soccer vs. Southern Nazarene, Stevens Soccer Complex
5:30 p.m. Heritage Circle Banquet, Founders Room, second floor of the Burks American Heritage Building. Golden, Emerald, Platinum, Platinum Plus, Diamond and Diamond Plus Circles inductions and reunions will honor classes of ’69, ’64, ’59, ’54, ’49 and ’44. Two free tickets for inductees; $18 for others.
Friday, October 18
8 a.m. Check-in and 9 a.m. Shotgun start, Bison Booster Club golf tournament, Course at River Oaks, $125 per person, $500 per team and/or $125 hole sponsorship

11 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Harding family picnic and giant tailgate celebration, Ganus Activities Complex. $10 adults, $5 for children 6-11. Families may use current student’s meal plan. Children under 6 eat for free with parent. Food is inside GAC. Heritage Circle members will be seated inside the GAC.
Classes of ’44, ’49, ’54, ’59, ’64, ’69, ’74, ’79, ’84, ’89, ’94, ’99, ’04, ‘09 and ‘14 will meet at the family picnic. Signs denoting class years will be posted at the picnic. Seating is available inside the GAC.
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. African-American Alumni for HU tailgate party, Bison Park in front of GAC
11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. President’s Council Homecoming tailgate, Bison Park in front of GAC. Bring your families and enjoy burgers and brats grilled on site, a variety of side dishes and ice cream sundaes. Plus sit and enjoy live music. Reconnect with other President’s Council members. (President’s Council members need their tailgate pass.)
Tailgating, First Security Stadium. Bring your grills, black and gold décor and Bison spirit to create the ultimate outdoor dining experience before the game. First come, first serve. Invite friends and current students to join you. Don’t want to cook? Aramark will be serving ribs, brats, grilled chicken and all the trimmings. $10 adults, $5 for children 6-11.

11:45 a.m. 60th Anniversary of ’59 Bison Football and Cheerleaders Lunch, $10, Rhodes-Reaves Field House Hospitality Room
12:15 p.m. Football alumni meet in Keller lobby to participate in the Walk of Brothers with current football players
12:30 p.m. Bison Football Brotherhood Walk. Line up in front of the Ganus Activities Complex and cheer the Harding Bison football team as they prepare to meet Southwestern Oklahoma State University at 3 p.m. in an important Great American Conference game.
