Parade of Kindness 2
“Parade of Kindness” will journey across White and Prairie County on Tuesday, July 7th.
The Arkansas Hospice “Journey” van will be on tour from Searcy, to Des Arc, then back to Beebe, leading a “Parade of Kindness,” as it delivers Cards of Kindness for the residents of five area facilities. Local officials, clergy, first responders, and others will be present and deliver words of encouragement and comfort upon the delivery of the cards.
Who: Residents and patients of Providence Assisted Living in Searcy, Des Arc Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and Beebe Retirement Center will be the recipients of cards, poems, letters, paintings, and art.
Why: With residents of many nursing homes, rehabilitation and assisted living centers unable to see visitors due to social distancing and COVID-19 precautions, Cards of Kindness is a program that has been launched by Arkansas Hospice that invites members of the community to send messages of kindness and companionship to their fellow Arkansans. Since the launch of the program, hundreds of Arkansans have responded with their works for seniors they have never met. This event is the first delivery of Cards of Kindness in the area.
