Historic Downtown Searcy; Sandwiching in History Tours will continue to be virtual this year with a line up of unique sites from around our state. These tours premiere on Facebook the first Friday* of each month at noon and are archived on our YouTube channel.

The community of Searcy, along the Little Red River, was selected as the original county seat of
White County in 1835. Initially developed by Israel Merrick Moore, the town was incorporated in 1851. Today, the historic core is dominated by the White County Courthouse, which was completed in 1871, and includes north and south wings added in 1912. Join us as we explore the historic commercial core of downtown Searcy in cooperation with Main Street Searcy.
