BEEBE, Ark. – Arkansas State University-Beebe is excited to announce New Student Orientation 2020: “Strong from the Start.” New students will have two opportunities to participate in orientation: a virtual orientation and an online orientation. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in both.
New students and their families can participate in the virtual orientation sessions using Zoom on August 3 and August 10 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about strategies for classroom success, student services, and information technology platforms.
The Classroom Success portion will help students understand strategies for successfully starting the first semester, such as how to purchase textbooks, read a syllabus, organizational skills, and time management.
The Student Services portion will focus on resources for students, including the Advising and Learning Center, Student Success Center, Campus Safety, and the Registrar’s Office.
The Information Technology Services portion will demonstrate how to log in to the Vanguard Portal, access student email and Canvas, as well as the Mobile App.
New Student Orientation (NSO) will be approximately one hour in length, and will include an interactive question and answer session. The Zoom link is located at:
