BEEBE, Ark. – Every year, PracticalNursing.org studies practical nursing programs in each state. This year the review organization announced August 24th that Arkansas State University-Beebe’s PN program has been ranked at #5 in Arkansas from among 26 nursing programs!
“We pride ourselves on being the leading LPN advancement and ranking agency,” said Carly Jacobs of PracticalNursing.org. “We have been publishing our annual rankings list since 2014.”
Dr. Jennifer Methvin, Chancellor of ASU-Beebe said, “We are very proud of all of our programs, but it is especially rewarding when a program receives independent recognition like this for the continuing effort that students, faculty and staff invest in maintaining high standards.”
Cindy Smith, director of Nursing at ASU-Beebe said, “The success of students who attend ASU-Beebe’s Practical Nursing program is directly related to the dedication of our Nursing faculty. Each faculty member contributes a variety of knowledge and skills, and our practicum partners provide a variety of learning opportunities for each student. Together we provide a well-rounded nursing education for our students which aids in their success as nurses.”
According to PracticalNursing.org, the nursing programs are assessed on several factors that represent how well a program supports students towards licensure and beyond. The organization analyzed past and present first time National Clinical Licensing Exam – for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN) “pass-rates” – weighted by year. ASU-Beebe’s most recent exam profile showed a 97.63 percent pass rate for the national exam.
