SEARCY, Ark. – Harding University’s American Studies Institute will host four speakers for the fall and spring presentations of its Distinguished Lecture Series.

Fall speakers include University alumnus, author, and investigative reporter Jerry Mitchell, and ESPN commentator and New England Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson. Mitchell’s presentation on Tuesday, Sept. 8, will feature his most recent book, “Race Against Time.” Watson will present his lecture “Under our Skin” on Monday, Nov. 9.

Spring speakers include award-winning sociologist, educator, and president of Gordon College Dr. Michael Lindsay and American doctor of animal services, professor at Colorado State University, and bestselling author Temple Grandin. Lindsay, author of this year’s Harding Read, “View from the Top,” will present his lecture Feb. 18, 2021. Grandin will present her lecture Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
