SEARCY, Ark. – In a small town like Searcy, coffee shops are great places to hold a meeting or catch up with a friend. The atmosphere is often created for community — people coming together over a cup of coffee. Searcy’s plethora of coffee shops also offer many non-coffee drink options for those who don’t like coffee or who just want to try something new.
Midnight Oil Coffeehouse
Located on the edge of Harding University’s campus, Midnight Oil is a favorite among students and locals alike. MO offers many options aside from coffee.
If you are craving a warm drink, try ordering a peppermint chai latte. The peppermint flavor is subtle, and it tastes like melted ice cream in the best way. Employees say it “tastes like Christmas in a cup.” Don’t let that description worry you, this creamy drink is available to order year-round. Looking for a cold drink option? Midnight Oil offers seasonal flavored lemonades that are always delicious. Next time you visit, ask a barista what the current flavor is.

Savor & Sip
Savor & Sip is a relatively new local establishment known for its coffee, sandwiches, and crepes. In addition to these items, they have a pastry case filled with delicious treats, varying each week.
If you are stopping in for a drink, while your friend enjoys a latte, try one of their delicious teas. Available to order hot or iced, these teas are the perfect drink option if you don’t like coffee. An employee favorite is the “Green Sundew.” The earthy flavor of the green tea mixed with the bright yet subtle mango flavor makes this tea the perfect option for any season. Their location is in the heart of downtown Searcy. Stop by Savor & Sip to grab a drink before exploring the city square.
Rise & Grind Coffee Company
Located inside the Natural Food Store, Rise & Grind Coffee Co. is a hidden gem of Searcy. Aside from their inventive latte flavors, they also serve over 55 flavors of herbal tea, perfect for the non-coffee drinkers or those wanting to try something different. Rise & Grind employees say they are working to add smoothies to the menu, so keep an eye out for that! Visit Rise & Grind next time you find yourself cruising down Main Street.

Stu’s Brew Coffee and Espresso
If you don’t like coffee, you’re in luck! Searcy’s drive-thru coffee stands also offer fresh and refreshing Natural Fruit Smoothies. They offer four different combinations, including Strawberry Banana and the APB (acai, pomegranate, blueberry), and everyone has the option of an added protein or energy supplement. You can also find Italian Cream Soda and Chai Tea or a Chai Tea Latte at either of their two locations in town.
Mr. Postman Expresso combines the elements of shipping mail, buying gifts, and drinking coffee into a unique and friendly environment. They are a licensed UPS, FedEx, and USPS retailer, offering shipping services while also serving a variety of coffee and tea.
Mr. Postman is the perfect spot to grab a coffee while getting your mailing errands done. The best non-coffee item to try here? Hot chocolate. A white chocolate flavor is also available, a little sweeter than the classic hot chocolate. Both flavors are creamy and rich and wonderful. Need we say more?
